Proposal Description
Mr. A. Pelser of APAC cc has been appointed to undertake the Northam
Zondereinde Heritage Information Centre Archaeological Mitigation Work. The mine is proposing to construct a
Heritage Information Centre close to the existing Later Iron Age stonewalled site. The Heritage Information Centre
will be used as an education node within the mine right area, accessible to mine personnel and the local community.
The following work will be undertaken:
1. Mapping and drawing of the stone-walled features on the site
2. Archaeological Excavations
3. The erection of Information Plaques & the development of a short Education Trail on the site
4. The implementation of a Cultural Heritage Management Plan (CHMP.
