Permanant export of charcoal from Buterix 1 for radiocarbon dating

Application is made to permanently export ten samples of charcoal from the excavation at Buterix 1 site, Eastern Cape Province, for radiocarbon dating at the Center for Applied Isotope Studies, University of Georgia, United States of America. The dating is necessary to provide a chronology for the excavated sequence at the site. The Eastern Cape Provincial Heritage Resources Authority has already provided a permit for the destructive analysis to take place.
