Approval Letter

We acknowledge receipt of your application for a permit to carry out work on the above property.  The KZN Amafa and Research Institute (The Institute) reviewed the application on 06 November 2024.

Please be advised as follows: 

1. The committee assessed the property, and found that it had significant heritage features worthy of conservation.  

2. The committee noted that the proposed work was minor and has minimal intervention to the heritage property. 

3. The committee resolved to approve the application as the proposed work did not impact the heritage value or the conservation worthiness of the property which the Institute has graded as Grade 3A.

4. The proposed work must, however, be carried out strictly in accordance with the submitted specification (Request for Quotation: Assess and repair damages caused by leaking roof and rain at lady’s toilet and veranda, Ref: DSAC/0596; Dated: 31/10/2024), received by The Institute. 

5. Prior written approval from The Institute is required for any deviation to approved plans or the attached specification.
