APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION FOR THE PROPOSED ESTABLISHMENT OF CHROME WASHING PLANT ON PORTIONS 144 AND 145 OF THE FARM ELANDSKRAAL 469 JQ, MADIBENG LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, NORTHWEST PROVINCE

Barima Investments (Pty) Ltd propose to establish a chrome crushing and washing plant on Portions 144 and 145 of the Farm Elandskraal 469 JQ within the Madibeng Local Municipality, Northwest Province. The site’s central geographical coordinates are 25°44'06.61" S 27°34'20.30" E. Refer to Figure 1 for the project location.

The proposed development will consist of the following facilities:
• 80 TPH Chrome Crush and Wash Plant.
• The construction of reinforced concrete slabs for the wash plant, concentrate stockpiling, crushing & screen plant.
• Construction of a carport.
• Construction of a site office
• Construction of three (3) x earth dams
• Drilling of borehole and installation of associated mechanical infrastructure.
