    Proposal Description
The Granite‎ is situated on this demarcated area on average 4.5 meters deep. The identified and ‎demarcated which are 2.5 hectares in total, includes the entire mining area. The whole of the 2.5 hectares will be used for ‎mining. The Granite‎ ‎reserve on these 2.5 hectares is estimated at 9’000 m³. (It is taken that 10% of the material in situ is sellable, thus 90% waste).‎
Topsoil and vegetation will be stripped and stockpiled separately for final rehabilitation. The application ‎area will be mined through blasting and opencast excavations where the Granite‎ will be drilled, blast ‎and cut with a diamond saw into blocks. The blocks are then removed with a frond-end loader to the ‎stockpile/dressing area for dressing and loading onto the trucks. ‎
The Granite‎ blocks will be transported to the clients at a rate of 375m³ a month. The total estimated ‎reserve of Granite/Syenite (MA)‎ ‎ is 9’000m³ taken at a production rate of 375m³ a month it will take 30 months to ‎work the estimated reserve of 9’000 m³. The Granite‎ which is 4.5m thick and the relatively low ‎production rate of this operation make these 2,5 hectares to be worked sustainable over the initial period ‎of two years and renewal periods of 3 years. ‎The area will be mined through opencast excavations.
