The committee approved the excavation and reinterrment of the skeletal remains of Mamdaka Mkhwanazi, buried in an informal grave at Ophondweni and her reinterrment at the Local Municipality's graveyard of Mtubatuba. The archaeological site was valued as having a significance of IIIA.
