Proposed development of the Gecko Wind Energy Facility near Hotazel in the Northern Cape

K2022578438 (South Africa) (PTY) Ltd proposes to develop a wind energy facility (WEF) (referred to as “Gecko WEF”) near Hotazel on the following properties in the Northern Cape Province:

The proposed project site is situated in close proximity to the local manganese mines, approximately 21km southeast of Hotazel, in the Joe Morolong Local Municipality. The planned installed capacity output of the WEF is 400MW (DC power). The total development area for the facility is ~6278 hectares (ha).
