AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT OF THE NATIONAL ROUTE N2 FROM IBIKA SECTION 17 TO TETYANA SECTION 18 WITHIN THE AMATHOLE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE

The project involves upgrading and maintaining the National Route N2 to enhance road user safety, improve traffic accommodation, and facilitate better access to the communities along the route. The current road consists of sections with two lanes and wide surfaced shoulders, with an overall width of approximately 12 meters, and in areas with two lanes in each direction, the width is approximately 15 meters. The existing road reserve will be expanded from 40 meters to 80 meters. This is the section from IBIKA SECTION 17 to TETYANA SECTION 18 within the AMATHOLE DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE.
