Chamberlain is sitting in an arm chair in front of a fireplace. From the smoke of the fire a spectre named "The Coal ghost" arises, with outstretched hands like claws, and a menacing expression. Chamberlain is cowering in fear. The ghost asks him: "Brave Joe, surely you are not afraid of me?" (Part of a book, see 1209)
