The proposed project entails the application of a Prospecting Right (PR) for Coal Group (Pty) Ltd (hereinafter Coal Group) in terms of Section 16 (MPRDA) to the Regional Department of Mineral Resources & Energy (DMRE KwaZulu-Natal). Coal Group intends to prospect coal over Farm Schuilklip 17759 HS (Whole Farm), Portions 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 44, 45 & 46 of Roodekop 7 HS, Portions 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 26, 28, 30, 32, 33, 35 and Remaining Extent of Schuilklip 109 HS, and Portions 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 14, 19, 20 & 21 of Witklip 98 HS, situated in the eDumbe Local Municipality within the Zululand District Municipality, Kwazulu-Natal Province. The application has been accepted by the DMRE (reference number: KZN30/5/1/1/2/11660PR).
