    The Parliament Collection:
    Landscape with ox-drawn (seven pairs) covered wagon in the foreground moving from right to left. Lone rider on the left. Scene takes place in a vast and open landscape. (Part of a portfolio, see 20193) Bechuanaland; South Central Africa. Bechuanaland a lovely country sand stone hills rich tropical vegetation thickly wooded valleys. Conical hill is granite, beautiful grasses. Gold, copper and iron also lead is found. [Original paintings of scenes in Central and South Africa, 1861-1877]
