RELOCATION OF APPROXIMATELY TWENTY-FIVE (25) GRAVES LOCATED ON THE FARM KLEINZUIKERBOSCHPLAAT 5 IS, OGIES, WITHIN THE EMALAHLENI LOCAL MUNICIPALITY, THE NKANGALA DISTRICT MUNICIPALITY, IN THE MPUMALANGA PROVINCE

PGS Heritage has been appointed by Glencore Operations South Africa (Pty) Ltd Goedgevonden Complex, to affect the relocation of 25 graves located on the Farm Kleinzuikerboschplaat 5 IS, Ogies, within the Mpumalanga Province. This application deals with twenty-five (25) graves which will be affected by mining activities within the Glencore - Goedgevonden Colliery project area. The graves are to be moved to existing formal cemeteries as selected by the next-of-kin. We will be assisted on this project by local service providers. The stakeholder engagement process, to identify the closest next of kin for the graves commenced on 11 November 2022. However, three of the graves have not been claimed after the stakeholder engagement.
