Written on mount below photo: Normal College, Roeland St, CT. Formerly conducted under auspices of D R Church. Its old name was "Rust in [sic] Vreugd" and it is one of the oldest buildings in CT. An underground passage was said to have connected it with the Castle. On the right side was a very interesting building [illegible] in 1898. Directly above door was a figure of Diana, [illegible] etc.
