Inscriptions
Written in pencil on sheet next to photo: Behind the arches were so-called bomb-proof chambers. The casemate finally disappeared about 1920, when the ground was used as a dumping ground for coal. As recently as the present year (1933), there are still portions of the curved walls at the back.
