Patensie Housing

Habitat Link Consulting (Pty) Ltd has been appointed by Urban Dynamics Eastern Cape Inc., on behalf of the Kouga Local Municipality, to apply for an Environmental Authorisation (EA) for the proposed housing development and associated infrastructure forming part of a township establishment over Portion 1 of the Farm Stuurmans Kop 55, located near Noorshoek, Patensie, within the Kouga Local Municipality, Eastern Cape Province. While the extent of the property is approximately 520 hectares (ha), it is expected that the development will have a footprint of no more than 15 ha. The project area will undergo the clearance of vegetation and development of the proposed township and associated infrastructure (including water and sanitation, roads and stormwater and electricity). The subject property is currently vacant and it is the intention of the Kouga Local Municipality to establish an integrated township comprising of up to 300 stands. The site is currently zoned for agriculture and will be rezoned as per a new layout to be developed in consultation with the environmental process. A preliminary layout for the proposed development has been established, but will be updated and refined during the assessment process .
