The Applicant, Nkwe Solar PV (Pty) Ltd, is proposing the construction of a solar photovoltaic (PV) facility (Nkwe 1 Solar PV) located on the Farm Rheezicht No. 2242, Portion 1 of Farm Little Saxony No. 39 and Portion 2 Farm Little Saxony No. 39, approximately 5km south of the town of Winburg in the Free State Province.
The solar PV facility will comprise several arrays of PV panels and associated infrastructure and will have a contracted capacity of up to 300 MW. The development area is situated within the Masilonyana Local Municipality area and greater Lejweleputswa District Municipality in the Free State Province.
