Proposal Description
The Leeuwpoort Grid Connection will distribute stored energy from the Leeuwpoort BESS to the existing Eskom Midas MTS.
The Leeuwpoort Grid Connection project components include the following:
A Grid Connection Corridor with a with not exceeding 250m
An 132 kV powerline will be constructed within a 31m wide servitude to be registered within the GCC (final route to be confirmed by Eskom) with a services and maintenance road not exceeding 4m width
An Eskom Switching Station on approximately 0,6ha
Upgrade of an existing road of approximately 1,37km (maximum width 6m)
Construction of a new access road of approximately 0,9km (maximum width 6m)
