Proposal Description
Eskom is proposing to Electrify approximately 390 households in Flagstaff Town under Ingquza Hill Municipality, . The name of villages to be electrified are as follows:
- Luthulini (23 connections), Dukuza (9 connections), Ndukudeni (13 Connections), Sigubudwini (59 connections), Siphaqeni (21 connections), Balasi (24 connections) andNgqandulo(16 Connections),
This project forms part of the 2025/2026 plan as agreed upon between Eskom and Ingquza Hill Local Municipality. The project is to be handled in terms of the Integrated Development Plan requirements of Ingquza Hill Local municipality.
This project is an extension of existing Infrastucture since there has been new houses that have been built, these houses require electricity
The proposed Voltage of the Powerline is 22kV therefore does not trigger listed activities in terms of the NEMA:EIA regulation 2014 (as amended).
