Energy Field MTS

The Energy Field MTS is a 400kV Transmission Substation (MTS) and associated power lines on a site located approximately 36km south of Cookhouse and 35km northwest of Riebeek East within the Blue Crane Route Local Municipality and the Sarah Baartman District Municipality in the Eastern Cape Province. The MTS will be developed on Farm 434 and Portion 3 of Farm Driefontein 259. The development of the 400kV MTS and associated infrastructure are required to enable the connection of four wind farms (Aeoulus, Hamlett, Rippon and Redding) and two solar PV farms (Sun Garden and Solaris Fields).
