Object Description
Down's catalogue: p. 1039, Dr A.J. Helm Montague writes: "I claim that in complete procidentia it will keep up the uterus when others fail, for the reason that a much larger pessary can be worn than usual, owing to the ellipse (worn anteriorly) preventing dragging upon the posterior wall of the bladder, and preventing the incontinence of urine frequently complained of with a large pessary. With a smaller one I find that the uterus comes down beside the pessary. Material: Vulcanite. Colour: Brown, c. 1920.
Provenance
Donor: Dr D.T.L. Jones
