Anglo-Boer War Anglo-Boereoorlog Impi yamaBhunu namaNgisi Isiteshi i-Gillitts Gillitts Stasie Gillitts Station This building was formerly used as the Gillitts Railway Station. During the war British troop trains stopped here and were greeted by the local residents. Horses, shipped from throughout the British Empire, arrived here battle worn, sick and injured en route to the Remount Depot. Plaque erected by the Durban Metro Committee for the Centenary commemmoration of the Anglo-Boer War.
