Description
King Ndaba kaMageba was King of the Zulus and is son of Mageba kaGumede. The approximate years of his life cannot be stated accurately but it is believed that he reigned as King from the period of 1745 to 1763. The distinction is however made on South African History Online (SAHO) that the first Zulu king was Shaka Zulu, who reigned as king from 1816 to 1828 and the period before that was that of Chieftains and Ndaba was therefore recognised as chief of the Zulu clan. The gravesite serves as his resting place and memorial to a historical figure in the Zulu kingdom.
