The environment in which the memorial is situated is polluted, but moderately kept. The information that was on the Rock is missing. Apparently there was a cannon gun, which has been removed from site. The information on the memorial itself is very faint (not easy to read). When you walk a few meters north towards Margate Mews, there is another face brick wall inscribed with "(1910) a space in between (2010)". We do not know the purpose of this other wall.Purpose:
