    This bronze memorial,sculped by Peter Hall commissioned in 2005. It depicts a leopard representing thr Zuly monarch, protectivrly covering the shileds of the fallen zilu warriors.The tree in the center of the memorial is an mphafa,or umhlantraditionally inally planted on the graves of the royal family, and also used to bring home the sipirit of a person who had died far from home, as did most of the warriors who perished in the battle
