An open space was created for the Memorial as it is in the same area of Robert Sobukwe's office. The open space was protected by a fence and a stall was included in the open space, benches/chairs were also include.Throughout the years it got vandalized which is why the Memorial is now covered with fence so no unauthorized entry takes place.
