The monument was fenced which hindered me from clear shots, but tried to stretch my arms to get best possible picture I could in all angles. And the lock from the entrance was too old that it can not be opened without breaking it.

Description
This statue stands on the African continent a symbol of the common humanity of all people. The statue is designed to represent no particular culture, ethnic or religious background.Multicultural Man is a bronze sculpture created by Italian artist Francesco Perilli. It depicts a faceless man in the middle of the earth who is trying to unite two meridians, while the other meridians are lifted by doves, the universal symbols of peace. The bronze man himself is three meters high and has been designed to represent no particular cultural, ethnic or religious background. There are five Multicultural Man bronze sculptures located on five different continents of the world.

The plaque was unveiled on the eve of the day of reconciliation 2008, Joint by the premier of the Eastern Cape Province, The Honorable Nosimo Balindlela and the Italian Ambassador to South Africa, the Honorable Alessandro Cevese, to commemorate the donation to Africa of the statue of "Multi-cultural Man" by the Sculpture Francesco Perilli, the village of hereto and the Italian people.
