The memorial is inside the Heroes Acre Cemetery. The cemetery is run down and some graves are vandalised. The condition inside is poor which i found very sad, in my opinion, given that the cemetery is the final resting place for not only South African statesmen such as Paul Kruger but also a large number of soldiers of the commonwealthPurpose:
