The moment was established because the were people who were leading Boer war, as the town was at the border before south Africa started. So it was a memorial so that they can remember the war. The people listed on those stones are the ones who were leading the war, they were from Cape town

From the Welcome board at Ntlonze you drive straight north and turn at the first left corner, drive straight again until you reach the gates of Ntlonze Primary school on the left hand side. The Memorial is placed on the left side after passing the gate.
