After the elephant had raided the gardens at Edinburg and Springfield Von Breitenbach had told Von Gadow that AFTAND would have to be shot,as the fire- crackers employed to frighten him and drive him back into the forest had not been successful. The court case dragged on until finally both Von Breitenbach Von Gadow were found not guilty.
