The place seem neglected and not well taken care of. The plaque is no longer visible and people scribbled their names on in and make it hard to read the history of the tree. On the way to the tree is dangerous for can can bitten by a snake or any harmful reptiles or get hurt by thorns , because it is bushy .Purpose:

This giant tree has been carbon dated as 1200 years old but many local people believe that the tree is much older than that more likely 3000 years old. The longevity together with its strength have given the baobab symbolic value throughout history.
