    Description

    The purpose is the remembrance of the Xhosa Monarch that was brutally murdered at the Nqabara River, On the 12th May 1835 by an Army contingent under Col Henry Smith. The Cape Governor Sir Benjamin Durban had invaded Xhosa land and had unleashed a reign of Terror, Rounding up thousands of Xhosa Cattle Trusting the Governor's Guarantee for his personal safety. The King made a dash for freedom, He was pursued shot and wounded, but managed to elude his pursuers and hidden in the thick Bushy Nqabara river bank.hunted like prey he was finally cornered and shot at point blank range as a trophy. He the majesty will always be remembered by the Xhosa Nation
