This Memorial commemorate the soldiers who died in war 1 in September 1815 the imperial Army council in England accepted the South African (SA) government offer to raise a Cape Corps (CC)battalion to perform duty outside the union of South Africa.Recruiting opened at the City Hall,Cape Town on 25 October 1915.
