Proposal Description
Umsimbithi Wonderfontein Mine is authorised to expand its mining area in order to utilise the coal
reserve located in the north-eastern region of the mining boundary. The existing P15-1 road
however currently crosses over the coal reserve resulting in the sterilisation of the reserve along
the alignment of the road. The mine therefore plans to permanently divert a section of the P15-1
road around the reserve so that the coal can be utilised.
