Strategic Environmental Assessment for the Port of Richards Bay

Various development opportunities were identified at the Port in terms of the Port Development Framework Plan (PDFP) and the Port of Richards Bay Master Plan 2021 – 2035 (the “Master Plan”). The TNPA must ensure that a fair and reasonable balance is achieved between the protection of the environment and the development and maintenance of the Port. Hence, the TNPA recognised the need to undertake a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) for the Port.
