The KwaZulu-Natal Heritage Resources Authority, Amafa and Research Institute Heritage Officers Committee (HOC) considered the application for a temporary export permit on the 17th of November 2021. The committee resolved not to object the application. The collections will only be released to the applicant in the condition that they provide a temporary export permit from SAHRA and Customs. The timelines of the sampling must also be provided.
