Interim CommentBased on the information contained in the submitted HIA, it is unlikely that the proposed development will impact on significant heritage resources. However, as the final alignments for the proposed powerlines have not been confirmed SAHRA cannot yet issue a Final Comment on the proposed development. In addition, heritage resources such as old farmsteads and burial grounds were identified in a fly over of the area proposed for development, however these have not been mentioned in the HIA.Due to the low significance of the heritage resources identified in the HIA, SAHRA has no preferred alternatives in terms of heritage resources.As such, SAHRA has no objection to the proposed development on condition that;- Sites SIA2 002 and SIF1 002 (the possible cairns) must not be impacted by the proposed development.- A final walkdown of the selected alignments for the proposed powerlines and pylon footings is completed and submitted to SAHRA for comment.We look forward to receiving this report before commenting further.
