    Proposal Description
    The activity is for the development of a car garage, dwelling home and staff quarters. The classic car garage of 346m2, a shed of 35m2 and a temporary driveway were established on the property before the EIA commenced. These activities commenced in June 2022 and were completed by mid-August 2022. The applicant unlawfully cleared indigenous vegetation with a total area in excess of 300 square meters, thus triggering Listing Notice 3, activity 12: “The clearance of an area of 300 square metres or more of indigenous vegetation except where such clearance is required for maintenance purposes undertaken in accordance with a maintenance management plan.
    (c) Gauteng
    (i)“With any critically endangered or endangered ecosystems listed in terms of section 52 of the NEMBA or prior to the publication of such list, within an area that has been identified as critically endangered in the National Spatial Biodiversity Assessment 2004; and,
    (ii) “within Critical Biodiversity Areas or Ecological Support Areas identified in the Gauteng Conservation Plan or bioregional plans.”
