Proposal Description
The site of the old coach house and stables has been in neglect for more than 40 years and during that period the surrounding community have used the site as a dumping site. The site is also in need of some landscaping in terms of upkeep. Lastly and the most conserning is the presence of the collapsed asbestos roof sheets of the old stables building to the rear of the site. All this work is also necessary for future conservation planning work, which requires the buildings to be accessible. In their current state the buildings are not fully accessible.
Minor work activities required:
1) Site cleaning- clearing of waste/ garbage dumped on the site over the years;
2) Landscaping- removal of weeds/ invassive vegetation, grass cutting, and tree pruning (supervised by city arborist);
3) Removal of asbestos roof material & rubble (damaged timber rafters)- one of the old stable building's asbestos roof has collapsed and needs to be disposed of safely;
