EV10

This site is an Iron Age settlement situated on a low rise, adjacent to a small koppie. The site is small - less than 1ha in extent. There is a prominent concentration of ashy deposits which suggests the location of a midden, with possible hut feature on the southern slope. Four grain bin bases have been located also indicating domestic areas.
Surface finds include ceramic vessels, faunal remains and grindstone fragments. The surface ceramics typically were shouldered vessels decorated with triangular incisions on the shoulder. These suggest a 10th-14th date for the site.
