Preliminary examinations of the lithics, which includes chunks, utilised flakes and side scrapers indicate that a number of the flakes display facetted platforms, characteristic of the MSA. Use wear and marks are clearly visible on formal tools. The raw material used in the production of the lithics is mostly hornfels, shale and banded ironstone.
