Statement of Significance
Low significance
In addition to the above low scatter site, thirteen isolated artefacts were found throughout the property. Most of the isolated finds are of Later Stone Age origin with only a few specimens being of MSA origin. Although rare, the most common formal tools are a variety of scrapers and second most common are notched pieces and adzes. A bladelet core and notched piece or adze while an MSA blade. Artefacts consist mainly of flakes, chips, chunks and flaked pieces. Banded ironstone is the most common raw material, followed by chert with only a few pieces made in cryptocrystalline silica (CCS). For more information on the individual coordinates and descriptions, the author advised that he should be directly contacted.
