      Statement of Significance

The graves of early farmers/herders in the region, dating back only to the late 19th century just before farms were granted and, perhaps, houses were built. The latter dark glass, in particular, was typical of historical wine bottles found widely in South Africa and must date back to at least the early 20th century.
