Within the context of farming activities in the larger region, this site is viewed to be one of
a limited number that would have occurred in the region, i.e. usually only one farmstead
would be located on a farm. Due to the limited number of such features in the larger
landscape, it can therefore be seen to have a high significance on a regional level.
