      Along Mazisi Kunene Road, travel until you see a big square concrete pillar with the words 'UKZN Howard College' printed at the top. That is the campus main gate or entrance. Upon entry, travel until you pass the Memorial Tower Building (MTB) and shortly there will be a set of steps leading up to the statue, found between two cream-white pillars with lights at the top.
