    To the memory of the officers, non-commissioned officers, and men of this district serving with the Queenstown rifle volunteers and other corps who were killed in action and died of wounds or disease whilst serving with the imperial and colonial forces in the Transvaal Orange River Colony during the campaign in South Africa 1899-1902. This Memorial has been erected by their comrades in arms assisted by the public of Queenstown. Refer to the images.
