Description
Agnes Wood Way is a stone that gives mention and acknowledgment to the Pinetown resident, Agnes Mary Wood: “Agnes Mary Wood was a resident of Pinetown and this stone is laid along the path she walked to church.” Not much information is known about Agnes Wood other than she, “came from England to marry John Braby Wood in Johannesburg in 1903.” This couple then relocated to Pinetown. The stone is located next to Fort Funk, another monument that speaks to the history of Pinetown.
