    1. Isiteshi iPinetown, Pinetown Station, Pinetown Stasie 2. Troop trains, concentration camp inmates, prisoners of war and horses on their way to the remount post at Kirk's farm, all passed through this station during the war. Local residents served refreshments when the troop trains stopped here. In exchange for providing water for the steam engines at Palmiet Halt, the Field children were given lifts on the Princess Christian Hospital train. 3. Plaque erected by the Durban Metro Committee for the centenary commemoration of the Anglo Boer War
