The Sisulu artwork celebrates the lifelong partnership of Walter and Albertina Sisulu. For over five decades, Walter and his wife Albertina were at the forefront of the struggle against racial discrimination. Their remarkable marriage endured in the face of state harrassment, arrests and detentions. In 2009 the sculptor by Marina Walsh was mounted opposite master mansions where Walter had his offices in the 1940s.
