Depicts a group of people around a fire, perhaps as part of a ritual dance or meeting. This woodcut depicts Tahitian men and women performing the traditional dance known as 'upa 'upa around a bonfire at night. Deemed pagan and obscene due to its sexual suggestiveness, the ritual was banned by Catholic and Protestant missionaries on the island. However, Tahitians continued to perform the ritual in secret, in defiance of colonial authority. Gauguin may have been witness to these dances while in Polynesia. Gauguin also spent a large part of his working life in Tahiti, and lived on the island for 10 years.

Depicts two ladies in exhibition area of the Louvre- objects in cases. One lady in period clothing seated at left, reading a pamphlet. Standing lady in period dress and with up style hairdo, leaning on umbrella/cane, facing showcases. This work with the view of Mary Cassatt and her sister in the galleries of the Musée du Louvre is among the most technically complex of Degas' prints.

Sumptuous, fluffy carpet/floor covering. One from a portfolio of twelve lithographs, protraying women Lautrec knew firsthand and the milieu in which they lived and worked. This series (Elles) of carefully observed brothel scenes thwarts the expectation of the titillating or the tawdry, instead presenting quiet moments of mundane intimacy
