A semi-circular handle with a hole through it holds a piece of string which is attached to the cap through two holes drilled through.

It has a hole carved through a rough bridge of a handle. The body of the box is covered with vertical grooves along its entire length with a horizontal groove around its middle. A few of the vertical grooves have been carved across to form pleats.

The form narrows into a short cylindrical neck with a larger round flat mouth into which a round stopper is placed. This stopper has a bun-shaped top with 5 symmetrical petal-shaped hollows and one round indentation at the centre. A plaited string handle is tied around the neck and then attached to the lower part of the body.

It has a rough rectangular projection from one side through which a leather strap is threaded. This strap is attached to a roundish knob in the centre of the top of the box.

Two wings project from this central shape and cross symmetrically in the front and back but are roughly ovoid at the sides. In the upper section of these ovoid sections are holes that in context held arms. These are abstracted manifestations of vuhwera initiation dancers wearing cross bands made of plant fibre.

The form is narrow and long and has its wider dimension from the side where it splits into two struts with a hollow section in the centre. Head has very rounded and curved nose, abstracted plug-like ears and dots for eyes.
